Tito Jackson, Michael Jackson's older brother, has passed away at 70. The cause of his death is still unknown.
The music world is mourning.
Tito Jackson was a key member of The Jackson 5. He was part of the group with his brothers Michael, Jackie, Jermaine, and Marlon. He died on Sept. 15, at 70.
"It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson is no longer with us," TJ Jackson, Taj Jackson, Taryll Jackson wrote on Instagram. "We are shocked, saddened, and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being."
They said, "Some of you may know him as Tito Jackson from the legendary Jackson 5, some may know him as 'Coach Tito' or some know him as 'Poppa T.' Nevertheless, he will be missed tremendously."
His cause of death is still unknown.
Toriano Adaryll "Tito" Jackson grew up in Gary, Ind. He started playing music at 10. In 1969, The Jackson 5 signed with Motown Records. They released hits like "I'll Be There," "I Want You Back," and "ABC." He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
Music is a big part of Tito's family. He has brothers and sisters who are also musicians.
Recently, Tito was proud of his youngest son TJ. TJ, 46, is following in his father's footsteps. He showed off his skills for his son Royal, 24.
